This session will take a quick look at how I brought 3D printing into an elementary school to build student engagement, leadership, and empowerment. We will discuss what 3D printing is, how it works, and how to engage students using it. Whether your district has 3D printers or not, whether your district has 1 or 10 printers, doesn’t matter. We will discuss the foundation of 3D printing, Design Thinking, and how you can start incorporating this into your classrooms and schools at any time. We will also discuss briefly the difference between printer styles, and price points. Getting started doesn’t need to break the budget.
